They Got It

Every town has a greasy hamburger joint. You know, the place you go and you don’t ask questions. You just know the burgers are dripping with goodness. The fries are steaming hot having just come out of the grease fryer. The grease grabs hold of the salt for dear life and won’t let go. Extra napkins please!

Well, my town is no different. Our special joint has been in business for over 50 years. You drive by and think, “oh man, it’s still here. I have to come back again”. But you forget and think about how that goodness is really not so good for the old body. You wonder how they are keeping the doors open. Yet, the same customers come back and back and back. But, they are all getting older now.

Hey, have you been to that new upscale burger place? No, where is it located?  In that really nice outdoor shopping area.  Oh yea? The menu is really creative with the burgers and the toppings.  The names are so funny! They claim to be “dressed well”. Everything is homemade and really fresh!  The service is great and the decor is quaint, but very sleek.  The burgers are outstanding and not greasy. The potato fries are the best with some type of seasoning that I can’t quite put my fingers on. Oh my goodness, it is so good! Reminds me of that greasy hamburger joint that has been around forever. Well, you know that is who owns it. No! Yep, they got it. Guess they will be around for another 50 years!
